Living at Heartland as part of SEU Ohio is about more than just having a place to sleep and study. It’s an intentional residential experience designed to foster community, personal growth, and meaningful connection. Through shared spaces, campus events, and everyday life together, Heartland housing creates an environment where students can build friendships, grow as whole persons, and feel truly at home while pursuing their education.
What Housing options are available?
Mid-Week Residential
Mid-week housing at SEU Ohio is designed for students who need on-campus housing during the academic week while maintaining flexibility. Students live in Sycamore Lodge at Heartland Conference Retreat Center, enjoying a shared dorm-style environment that fosters community, connection, and spiritual growth.
Mid-week residents have access to their rooms from Monday at 1:00 PM through Wednesday at 1:30 PM each week. Rooms are shared with other students and include all essential furniture, utilities, and laundry access. This option is ideal for students attending classes, chapel, and campus events during the week without the commitment of full-time housing.
Full Time Residential
Full residential housing at SEU Ohio is designed for students who want a full on-campus living experience throughout the entire week. Students live in Sycamore Lodge at Heartland Conference Retreat Center, where daily life, community, and spiritual formation happen together.
Full residential students have 24/7 access to their dorms, a weekly meal plan, and the ability to remain on campus throughout the week and weekend. This option provides the highest level of immersion in campus life, making it ideal for students who want consistent routines, deeper community, and full participation in student life activities.
Looking to Apply?
SEU Ohio students who wish to live at Heartland Conference Retreat Center during the academic year must submit a housing application each semester along with a $150 application fee. The application fee is non-refundable but will be applied toward the student’s semester housing and meal plan balance as the first payment. To be considered for guaranteed housing, applications must be submitted by the following priority deadlines:
